New Photo Story- Wild Black Kite

January 11, 2014  •  Leave a Comment

It's been a while since I last updated the blog.  This has been mainly due to a recent house move, Christmas and a couple of cancelled photo trips that I was planning to blog about.  My autumn has not gone as I planned, I did not get much time for the Red Deer rut due to moving house and the storm surge in December affected my plans to visit Donna Nook for the first time.  Thankfully the seals are safe due to huge effect by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trusts' volunteers who spent all night taking down fences to ensure the seals could escape into the sand dunes behind the fences.  Not visiting them was worth it if we were only going to make things worse for the seals. I always think there is another year to visit them, hopefully 2014 will be it.

I've recently been going through my images from 2013 and one image caught my eye, my favourite images I have taken of a bird of prey, a Black Kite.  You can read more about this in my new photo story, Wild Black Kite: Carbarceo or see all of my photo stories here.

COPYRIGHT ROB CAIN Hopefully I will be able to update you soon on my plans for 2014, so far trips for Red Kites, Cormorants, Grey Seals, Hares, Wild Boar and Puffins are all planned.  I'm sure Water Voles, Red Deer and Red Grouse will be planned later in the year too.
